The architect Benedetta Tagliabue (EMBT / Enric Miralles Foundation) and the stage manager Alex Ollé (La Fura dels Baus) conducted in 2014 an important intervention in the city. Within the commemoration of Tricentenari BCN, curated but Toni Soler and organised by the City Council some of the most iconic public spaces Barcelona changed their look with a set of seven artistic and architectural installations that proposed a reflection on concepts such as identity, freedom and democracy. The design was a collaboration between international architects and schools of design, architecture and performance of Barcelona, hence being an educational project that hosted also a program of events held at the installations.
This exhibition in Venice was preview to the opening and offered a presentation to the international architectural community.
