TIPPING LINES
Festival FIne Art Igualada 2024
The project arises from the observation of the dichotomy between the apparent stillness above in contrast to the constant movement below, and seeks to reveal a multiple vision of the sea around two horizon lines that connect the sky, the sea surface and the underwater realm.
Horizon understood as the line that connects the air with the water.
Lines, contours and textures make up a somewhat unreal seascape that surprises the viewer by its lack of determination and seeks to suggest the possibility of sensations rather than a look at an object; in an intermediate space between figurative language and abstraction, open to interpretation, from only three elements: water, light and air.
The installation «endless folds» of physical light, water and air completes the experience in a more immersive, physical and present way.
El proyecto surge de la observación de la dicotomía entre la aparente quietud de arriba en contraste con el movimiento constante de abajo, y trata de revelar una visión múltiple del mar en torno a dos líneas de horizonte que conectan el cielo, la superficie del mar y el reino subacuático.
Horizonte entendido como la línea que conecta el aire con el agua.
Líneas, contornos y texturas conforman un paisaje marino un tanto irreal que sorprende al espectador por su falta de determinación y busca sugerirle la posibilidad de sensaciones más que una mirada a un objeto; en un espacio intermedio entre el lenguaje figurativo y la abstracción, abiertas a la interpretación, a partir de sólo tres elementos: agua, luz y aire.
La instalación «pliegos sin fin», de luz, agua y aire «verdaderos» completa la experiencia de manera más inmersiva, física y presente.
